Look for a cover version of “Rebel, Rebel” by Ricky Lee Jones to be used in advertisements for the new film entitled “The Teena Brandon Story.” The film is based on the true story of the life of Teena Marie Brandon, the Nebraska teen who lived her life as a boy. The film stars Hilary Swank (The Next Karate Kid) as Teena, along with Chloe Sevigny (Last Days of Disco), Brendon Sexton III, (Welcome the Dollhouse) and Peter Sarsgaard (Dead Man Walking). The film is tentatively scheduled for release in the fall of 1999.
