'hours…' Review In Irish Tv-guide

Another ‘hours…’ review in the magazine stacks. This one gave 3stars.

He’s wearing sandals on the back cover forchrissakes! There are three gorgeous tracks here, majestic slow-burners Thursday’s Child, Survive and Seven…

As an attempt to recapture the poetry and mystery of yore(Hunky Dory is a touchstone) it’s worthwhile and who wouldn’t get achill hearing Bowie intone “Beatle boys all snowy white” as he does onSurvive? Superior to most old hoofers of Bowie’s vintage who shouldhave given up years ago (hello Tom Jones).

Storytellers Review

Monday’s New York Times did a review of the premier ofBowie’sVH1 Storyteller. Entitled “A David Bowie Who Takes It Lightly,”thereview had some great things to say.

    Here is anexcerpt:
Light years from Ziggy Stardust, Mr. Bowie settles comfortably intotheshow’s format, an informal and-then-I-wrote monologue punctuated withsongsthat recall a few phases of his varied 30-year career.

    GoodShowDavid!

Bowie Halloween Mask

A portrait of Bowie appears on the cover of Flaunt magazine’s October issue. But this is not just any portrait, nor is it just any cover.

It is a self-portrait, AND it is a cut-out to be used as a mask for Halloween (complete with different size eye-holes). Truly gives new meaning to the phrase “Trick-or-Treat”!
