Name That Tune – Rules

As you know, on Friday at 3PM EST BowieNet will host the first official BowieNet Name That Tune game! And lo and behold, the rumors are confirmed – we have another pair of tickets to the Tibet Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall to give away to the First Place Winner!

The rules are as follows:

1. The host will write one line of lyrics from a David Bowie song IN CAPITAL LETTERS.

2. The first person to correctly identify the song gets five points. If after a period of time no one has guessed the song, the next line from the song will be given. If everyone is still stumped (an unlikely scenario with this bunch!), a third and final line will be given. If no one guesses it even then it will be considered a stumper and we move on to the next one.

3. The game is over when one player has accumulated 50 points or after one hour, whichever comes first.

4. The First Place winner (the player who reaches 50 points first or who is in the lead after one hour) wins the tickets. There will also be prizes awarded to the second and third place winners. In the event of a tie for first place, the game will continue until someone pulls ahead. If there are ties for 2nd and 3rd place, both players will receive a runners-up prize.

Hope to see you there!
