Vote For Bowienet In Mtv Europe Music Awards

Vote now for the candidate…

We are very proud to announce that DavidBowie.com has been nominated in the Web Award category for this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards. One-time Bowie collaborator, P Diddy, was announced yesterday as the host of the awards at a press conference in London, where he spoke of his plans to make the event into a “three-day party”.

Well let’s make it even more of a party by making BowieNet the winner of this category. DavidBowie.com is up against U2, Moby, Linkin Park and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club… Obviously we all know that this is the best site in the universe, but let’s prove it to everybody else by mobilising the Bowie Online Army. Go to the MTV Europe Music Awards web page and get voting now.

One thing I should point out is that I have noticed a glitch on the MTV site in that it seems multiple voting is possible. I know it’s not something that Bowie fans would do, but you can’t put it past Linkin Park fans to try and buck the system… whatever that means. I’ll explain further.

When one casts a vote, the following message pops up: “Thank You. Your vote has been received. Now click on the next category.” Well, I’m afraid if you ignore this instruction and just click on the same category again instead, you can vote for the same artist again! I just bet that’s what Linkin Park fans are doing… and probably Moby fans too! I know you lot are far too honest to give BowieNet a helping hand in getting more votes.

The awards take place in Barcelona on November 14, 2002. I’ve always wanted to check out those beautiful Gaudi buildings… just thought I’d mention it in case anybody important enough to sway it is reading this! };-)
