Friend of ArcKid’s…

David Bowie attended the debut show by ArcKid at the Hugo Boss and Interview Magazine private party on the Hugo Boss rooftop on Tuesday evening.

The band was formed earlier in the year and consists of brothers Ant, Roy & Christian Langdon and drummer Johnny Cragg.

The event was also attended by other famous friends and family of the band, including Roy’s wife Liv Tyler, her mum Bebe Buell and her two dads, Todd Rundgren and Aerosmith?s Steve Tyler.

David, a friend of the Langdon’s since their Spacehog days, dressed for the sweltering New York temperatures in cool cottons as evidenced in the shot above. He was also photographed with Ingrid Sischy and Donna Karan.

I like the clothes that you wear…

Judging by the amount of entries we’ve already received for August, it’s clear everybody is getting the hang of this now. If you’re not familiar with the monthly BowieNet give-away take a look at the first day of the news in May and June, and the 2nd of last month.

You can see last month’s list for how the vault still stands, though I’ll be updating it on my return from hols. Meanwhile, I guess you’d like to know who won what for July:

5th prize = 100 points to bowiebear

Above is just another little sneak preview of some of the genuine signed pieces of classy clobber from DB’s very own wardrobe…That’s a two-piece Dolce & Gabbana hand-made Italian suit which could be yours for a mere 4,000 points or 2,500 points for each separate piece.

NB: Please note that incomplete claims may not be despatched until a full claim has been made, as we don’t want to be posting several different packages to the same person, and we don’t want to make you feel bad about your carbon footprint.

However, don’t fret, as soon as you stake a claim on a certain prize, that will be put aside for you until your claim is complete.

In the meantime, all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning some points in the August draw is send us an e-mail here.

Usual rules apply: Only one entry per BowieNet account, and please remember you must enter using your BowieNet e-mail or at least supply your BowieNet user name. (Believe it or not, some entrants still don’t bother with either.)

There will be a fresh chance each month to send in your name, and don’t wait for us to tell you so, you can just start sending in on the first day of each new month…as indeed, you seem to be doing anyway.

Each contest will close at midnight UK time on the last day of each month, with winners being announced a day or two later.

So, next month we will announce the winners for August and so on every month until you empty the vaults…if that ever happens!

As ever, we’ll be posting details of the new items as we get them, so you don’t have to worry about choosing anything just yet. Good luck kidz!
