Sony Japan Paper Sleeves Contest Starts Tomorrow

Sony wants to turn the world…

As you know, Sony Music in Japan released the most recent five David Bowie studio albums: 01. Outside, Earthling, ‘hours…’, Heathen and Reality, in the ‘paper sleeve’ format back in May, as we’ve been telling you they would since February. (02.11.2007 NEWS: SONY JAPAN TO ISSUE FIVE BOWIE CDS AS ‘PAPER JACKETS’ & 03.13.2007 NEWS: SONY MUSIC JAPAN ANNOUNCES MORE BONUS TRACKS & 05.03.2007 NEWS: SLIPCASE FOR SONY JAPAN PAPER SLEEVE RELEASES & 06.05.2007 REMINDER: SONY JAPAN PAPER SLEEVES RELEASED TOMORROW)

We had intended to run this contest a little sooner, but here we are now anyway. Sony Music in Japan very kindly donated ten complete sets with slipcases for this exclusive BowieNet contest, and being as it’s such a great prize, we’ve decided to run it over the course of the coming week.

Over the next five days we’ll be playing a game popularised on the BowieNet MBs by a couple of misfits recently, wherein you have to identify an album cover from an enlarged section of its sleeve. Except this version is much, much, easier.

We’ll be posting a section from each of the above five front covers for you to ponder, and then next week we’ll run the final part of the contest when you’ll be asked to send in all of your answers at the same time.

Come back tomorrow for part one.
