New Young Pony Club's Tahita Overwhelmed By Bowie

Because you’re young, what could be nicer for you…

You may remember David Bowie’s endorsement of NYPC‘s song Get Lucky in one of his Music Recommender columns.

The band’s singer, Tahita Bulmer, (above centre in the Roxy pastiche) was more than happy to receive this recognition from DB, as expressed in this exclusive quotation supplied, once again, by our good friend, Mr Cabooter

“We’re all massive Bowie fans, I think our management tried to get in contact, but we’re still 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon away from David Bowie…but we’re trying. Obviously when you hear stuff like that it’s incredibly exciting and humbling.

He’s one of the great musicians of the 20th century. When he said he liked our stuff, well I couldn’t believe it, I’m still a bit overwhelmed to be honest, it’s one of those moments where you tell your mates excitedly ‘David Bowie likes us’ and your mates go ‘oh really’.”

Get Lucky from the band’s album, Fantastic Playroom, is re-issued on October 22nd, and you can order it here along with tickets for their UK tour.
