Tilda celebrates birthday at MoMA with DB and Iman

“They burn you with their radiant smiles…”

Tilda Swinton celebrated her 53rd birthday at the Museum of Modern Art in New York as part of the annual MoMA Film Benefit Presented by CHANEL on Tuesday evening.

Among those helping the actress mark her birthday were David Bowie and Iman, who attended the party held in celebration of Tilda’s contribution to film..

Aside from providing a superb performance in David Bowie’s The Stars (Are Out Tonight) video back in February, she also performed at the Manhattan-based museum as part of an art installation, called The Maybe, the following month.

The piece attracted worldwide attention as Tilda lay sleeping in a glass box for the day whilst visitors to MoMA took photographs of her.

Anyway, pictured here at the benefit on Tuesday are Tilda herself, New Zealand singer-songwriter Lorde and David Bowie.

Bowie wore a Kim Jones suit and Thom Brown shirt and tie, all finished off nicely with a good old pair of out-of-shot Churches’ shoes!
