CHANGESONEBOWIE random vinyl out now

“But it may come clear”

As mentioned on these pages previously, today sees the release of the 40th anniversary edition of CHANGESONEBOWIE.

David Bowie’s first ever best of compilation (with tracks from the period 1969 to 1976), was originally released on May 21st, 1976.

The album stayed in the Top 10 for eleven weeks, peaking at #2. Two UK adverts from 1976 are illustrated in our montage.

Unannounced at the time was a mispress of CHANGESONEBOWIE with a reported 1,000 copies containing the ‘sax version’ of John, I’m Only Dancing, as opposed to the original single mix.

In keeping with the spirit of that, half of this new vinyl pressing is black while the other half is clear. As with the original album, this information is not mentioned on the sleeve, so it is completely random as to which one you end up with.

CHANGESONEBOWIE is out now via Parlophone on 180g heavyweight vinyl, cd and digital formats including Mastered for iTunes.
