Portland Set List And Pictures In Vt

“Gail, did you see the ‘KICK ME’ sticker I put on Gerry’s back? Oh wot a larf we ‘ave.”

There Is A Happy Portland…

David Bowie returned to the USA last night for a show at the Rose Garden in Portland. We’ve updated the Virtual Ticket section with ten of Erik’s superb shots, one of which I’ve posted above.

Here’s a bit from a message board entry by BowieNetter Tess:

First things first..the clobber. The new plum frock coat with tails, and feathered tattered threads…The silver satin under-jacket…The new chartreuse/lemon and blue longer scarf…black tee-shirt, Metal World I think…black jeans…hair looked especially floppy…must have just washed it…and it’s longer now.

He told some longer stories tonight…including the Elvis gig he attended in Ziggy regalia, and then the usual one as the intro to TMWSTW. There’s no question he was well loved by the full to capacity crowd and it was so rewarding to see him thrive on that energy. Oh, btw, Erik was very near me at one point on our side of the barrier taking pics…so I told him BNet thanks him for his lovely pics…he was very gracious in his reply.

Thanx for that Tess… BowieNetters can go check out some of those very pictures Tess mentioned by clicking on David’s new scarf or GAD’s blue earpiece in the shot above.

Here’s the officially confirmed 28-song set list, which was taken over the phone from a very sleepy HNB, who had been up all night washing the whole band’s under-garments:
