The hearts filthy lesson, a fantastic painting by David is being sold at a Christies auction in London as part of the John Reid Collection on Friday the 18th December 1998. John Reid is a great admirer of David’s and the painting hung in his New York living Room. The painting is estimated at 7000 – 10,000 pounds sterling, but with all the interest will certainly achieve it’s top estimate.
And why is John Reid suddenly selling 691 lots of furniture, paintings, objets and sculpture from his collection? He explains: “I am extremely sentimental about people, but less so about things – I like the thrill of the chase, but I am at heart a chameleon”
