David Bowie is set to host the new season of sci-fi drama “The Hunger.” The addition of Bowie has helped Showtime market “The Hunger” internationally. Already, last year’s series has been picked up by the SciFi Channel in the United Kingdom, Canal Plus in Scandinavia and Benelux, RTL 4 in Holland, Universal’s 13th Street in France, and CNI in Italy.

Man Who Fell to Earth Airs Sunday, January 3rd, 1999 at 14:00 EST on the SCI-Fi Channel in the US. The Man Who Fell To Earth (1976) is a sci-fi drama film about Thomas Jerome Newton (Bowie), a humanoid alien who comes to Earth to get water for his dying, drought-stricken planet.
