Just in time for Christmas, the BowieNet tech crew has put together a new Question & Answer section for your technical questions. Do you have some tech question that has been bugging you, and weren’t sure who to ask? Well, now you can “Ask Howard and Tina”.

BowieNet has received several request for more information about IL MIO WEST. Here is a brief synopsis of the story-line.

In 1890 , Basin Hill was a quiet village surrounded by green,situated on the slopes of the mountains on the border of Canada.It was a typical village of the Far West; everything was built in wood and apart from the houses, there was also a magnificent saloon that was run by the seductive Mary,a post office,shops,stables for the horses, a school ,a wind mill and a small cemetery that dominated the village.

There was also a railway, but the inhabitants of Basin Field knew that the train would never arrive there, because the track is too steep and the train would never be able to climb so far. Doc, the village Doctor, lived there with his family:his beautiful Indian wife Pearl, and their baby Geremia, who is the narrator of the film.Basin Field’s tranquillity is shattered by Jack Sikora’s arrival.He’s a ferocious gunman who won’t stop at anything and he wants to fight a duel with his rival Johnny Lowen. Doc is the only person who may be able to stop this horrible fight.

David Bowie’s clasic track “Fame” is used in a new movie trailor for the upcoming Ron Howard movie “edTV”. The new comedy stars Matthew McConnaughey, a video store clerk who aquires fame when he becomes the subject of a TV documentary broadcasting his every move. Look for a release some time in March.

Entitled “100 Greatest Brits Of The Last 1,000 Years”, a UK Newspaper is currently holding a poll that asks the UK to select the TOP 100 Brits from a list of names including David Bowie, Sir Winston Churchill, Paul McCartney, Princess Diana, Richard Burton, William Shakespeare, and Sir Issac Newton.

David Bowie is currently placed at No. 43. You can cast your vote by calling 0660-100251 (UK only), There is a charge for the call (20p). Better hurry. The lines close at midnight on Monday 21st December.
