“The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” has been elected to the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame. This is an award that honors recordings of lasting, qualitative or historical significance.

David Bowie played host to Placebo with an informative and at many times humorous live audio/video chat from Irving Plaza in New York.

David Bowie joined Placebo on-stage at Irving Plaza in New York City last night to perform Placebo’s “Without You, I’m Nothing” and the Marc Bolan/T.Rex staple “20th Century Boy”. There was a buzz in the air as rumors flew around the venue of a Bowie appearance and as the band finished their brilliant one hour set and left the stage for the first time – with the chant “Bowie, Bowie….” grew louder and louder. Upon returning – Brain Molko introduced David and the rest is history……. (Keep an eye out for photos from the show)
