Paul Mcartney Painting

The Paintings of Paul McCartney will be available for viewing from 1st May through the 25th of July in the Lÿz Art Forum in Siegen, Germany. Get all the details at the Gallery’s web site: www.siegen-wittgenstein.de

Note: there is a English / German translation feature on the gallery site, just in case your not fluent in German.

Here is a piece entitled “Bowie Spewing” from Paul’s collection.

This is an excerpt from the Gallery site:

Although entitled “Bowie spewing“, this small painting was not planned as a portrait. As so often the case with McCartney, the subject emerged during the painting process. Experimental painting with no other motive than “just to let the paint lead the way” (McCartney) results in a physiognomy which reminds the artist of David Bowie at an early stage in his career, the time of his “Ziggy Stardust” album.
