GALLERY EVENT UPDATE: PANEL DISCUSSION AND SUMMER BREAK

Concurrent with the gallery’s exhibition schedule, RUPERT GOLDSWORTHY GALLERY is pleased to announce the sixth and final event in our series of small, informal panel discussions in the gallery. The final panel, “New” takes place on Thursday, May 27th from 6.30 to 8.30pm. The featured panelists are Simon Watson, organizer of the Downtown Arts Festival,Inka Essenhigh, artist and critics David Rimanelli and Grady Turner. As the 1998-99 art season closes this panel of critics, curators and artists will discuss the emerging trends of the current art scene and what will be coming in the new millenium.
The gallery will close to the public for the summer on Tuesday June 1st and will reopen on September 9th with an exhibition by the London-based artists collective BANK with an exhibition entitiled “Press Release”. “Press Release” ironically critiques the press releases of New York galleries. It runs until October 16th.
