Product + Personality = Brand *
BBC2‘s Arena last night aired ‘The Fine Art Of Seperating People From Their Money‘, an intriguing guide to the worldof commercial creativity hosted by that most gentle of souls, the actor Dennis Hopper. Contributions came from thelikes of film directors Tony Scott, Spike Lee and Alan Parker, actor Anthony Quinn, musician Dave Stewart and theartist David Bowie. (That’s what it says here.)
As interesting as the programme was, the contributions from DB were taken from an interview from the last century.According to UK Bowie super-spotter John Harrison, the interview was first shown in it’s entirity on the GermanARTE channel for a programme called ‘Metropolis‘ in September 1995. Unless, of course, you know differently.
