Hailed as the party of the year the Tate Modern housed not only anamazing collection of art last night but also what would seem to havebeen the vast majority of the London art world, and some extra’s. Thebash was indeed huge and for those who did not manage to gain an invitethe proceedings were televised in all their wonder on Britishtelevision. One lucky individual, namely Mick Jagger, was accompaniedaround some of the rooms by London’s daily newspaper, The EveningStandard. He commented:

“I have a bit of this stuff at home, but I don’t collect very much.David Bowie knows a lot more about this than me”.

Tom Jones has teamed up with Chrissie Hynde for a rendition of “Lust For Life,” out now on Tom’s new album Reload (Gut Records).

David Sanborn, whom BowieNet subscribers may remember from the ‘Young Americans‘ and ‘Diamond Dogs‘ tours, has several upcoming US gigs (to be found at www.prarecords.com)? The band is pretty good, and they seemed to be having a very fun time when they were in Britain recently.
