Happy 28th Birthday Ziggy Stardust! As noted in January – this year mirrors 1972 exactly – so today (6 June 2000) is a Tuesday just like it was in 1972 – and exactly 28 years to the day since the album was released back on 6 June 1972! Note: It was not released on 9 June 1972 which has mistakenly crept into some new books on David Bowie.
