Win Rare Beeb Sampler Now

For your chance to win not only one of ten copies of the beauty pictured above, but also one of ten even rarer CDRs of the third limited CD from the BEEB set, all you have to do is answer the question below and send your answer to MrTotalBlamBlam@aol.com with a subject heading of ‘Kooks’.

Here we go…In June of 1971 David Bowie and friends performed a set for John Peel’s In Concert programme. Among the songs performed was the recently written ‘Kooks’, of which a rather nervous David had this to say:

“I’d been listening to a Neil Young album, and they phoned through and said that my wife had a had a baby on Sunday morning. I wrote this about the baby. It’s called Kooks…K, double o, k, s…I’m not too sure of the words, ‘cos it is new…so I’ll have a go at it.”

David’s uncertainty of the words is where you come in. This early version of ‘Kooks’ had an extra line that never appeared on the Hunky Dory recording. What I want to know from you is, what was that line?…A small clue is that it followed the line: “And if the homework brings you down, then we’ll throw it on the fire and take the car down town.”

First ten correct answers win. Good luck!
