What can I do for you? Looks like you’ve been there too…
In the current issue of NME, self-confessed Bowie fan, Noel from Oasis, talks us through ten songs “…that changed his life and gave Oasis their chords.” We all remember the rather pedestrian version of ‘Heroes’ that the band treated us to some time back, but it seems this wasn’t the only Bowie song that Noel has ‘enjoyed’. Followers of Oasis and lovers of the popular parlour game ‘Spot That Tune’, will not be surprised to learn that a David Bowie composition was among the songs that have ‘inspired’ Noel.

“….I’d imagine that if you were a 13 or 14-year-old girl in the early ’70s, this record would have been pretty much a life-changing experience. It contains one of the best riffs. This was a sound that I was pretty obsessed with for a long time.”
In Part Two, Noel will discuss how ‘All The Young Dudes’ also helped him through a few artistic blocks…allegedly! };-)
