Nme Rock Hacks Love Db

I’m just about the best you can hear

Inspired by the UK release of ‘Almost Famous’, a film about the early career of rock journalist Cameron Crowe, this week’s NME ran a spread of several pages on the career highs and lows of some of its most famous writers.

Two of the writers chose their interviews with David as their most memorable ‘good’ moment.

Steven Wells (left – 1983 – present) – “David Bowie was very, very nice. If a bit scruffy.”

Charles Shaar Murray (right – 1972 – 86) – “Good – the first time I interviewed Bowie, right at the beginning of the Ziggy era.”

Lucky, lucky things…….
