The Bowienet members’ Tibet pages have been updated over the weekend, with some transcripts and great screengrabs of the CNN broadcast on the press page. We also had a rather wonderful journal from akko. Here is a taste:
Meet my mum. Here?s a photograph of her with myself, taken at the entrance of the Carnegie Hall on 26 February 2001. Her name is Michiko. She was born in January 1937. She is originally from an ultra-conservative family in countryside, and has been married for 40 years. She has also been a devoted mother of three, the youngest of which is myself, throughout her marriage. So it must have been such an adventure to fly over to New York City on her own. She would not have made it if she was not such a fan of David Bowie. What made her, who is now 64, be a Bowie fan?
You can go to the Tibet journals page (not to be confused with David’s journals) to read the whole story.

Thanks, Spaceface!
