Genesis Publications has this morning announced details of the first fully authorised David Bowie/Mick Rock limited edition book: Moonage Daydream – The Life and Times of Ziggy Stardust. This beautifully produced edition is strictly limited to 2,500 copies, each personally signed by David Bowie and Mick Rock and individually numbered.
Moonage Daydream is fully annotated with fascinating and revealing conversational text by David Bowie and Mick Rock. David is photographed on and off stage; at work in the studio in France recording Pin Ups, working with Lulu, filming the flamboyant 1980 Floor Show for US TV at the Marquee in London, applying make-up pre-show, making videos (with Mick directing) and travelling across America and Britain on tour. The book also contains Ziggy memorabilia, original lyrics and record and magazine covers which feature Mick’s Bowie photography.
Moonage Daydream – The Life and Times of Ziggy Stardust will be published in June 2002 to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the release of the original album.
