Concert For New York City Dvd Details

All gone to look for America…on DVD

More details regarding the The Concert for New York City DVD have been released, including cover artwork and running order, etc. Due through Sony Music (Video) as a Region 1 encoding (US and Canada only) double DVD on January 29th, the release seems to be the complete show. As you all know, the concert kicked off with David Bowie’s outstanding performance of ‘America’ and “Heroes”, and never before was the phrase “A hard act to follow” more apt!

Here’s the blurb from the back cover:

“One night. One place. One reason. Recorded live at Madison Square Garden on October 20th, 2001, The Concert for New York City was a celebration of the strength, resilience, and pride of New York and America. This 2-DVD set – nearly 5 hours long – includes the superstar presenters, the fabulous short films, and the stunning musical performances for your repeated enjoyment.”
