Fa-fa-fa-fa-fashion…
Ben Stiller’s comedy, Zoolander, which features a cameo from David Bowie is released on region one DVD today.
Ben Stiller is Derek Zoolander, a supermodel big on charisma, if not exactly blessed with the quickest wit. Targeted by an evil crime organisation that wants him to carry out some dangerous schemes, Zoolander has to think fast – but with his mind often elsewhere, he usually has trouble thinking at all, with frequently hilarious results.
David Bowie’s appearance is brief but very stylish, as two models, Derek and Hansel (Owen Wilson), compete on the runway under his discerning eye.
The DVD and VHS of the film will not be released in the UK until 31 May 2002, and even then these will be rental only versions priced at £50 to trade retailers. The full commercial UK release of both the DVD and VHS is likely to be two to three months later.
