We told you about David’s appearance on NBC’s Today 2003 Toyota Summer Concert series a little while back, (09.05.2003 NEWS: FORTHCOMING ‘REALITY’ TV) and, as with the story below, if you can make it along to the taping in NYC very early on Thursday morning, then we may be able to help a few of you. We have a handful of tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis that the fastest of you can claim now.
Here’s what you need to do:
Be absolutely certain you can definitely attend before entering. You will need to be at the venue, which is at NBC Studios, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Fifth to Sixth Aves., by around 6:30am EST. Then mail me with your user name, real name, and contact telephone numbers at TotalBlamBlam@davidbowie.com with a subject line of: Gimme a Today Show ticket please Blammo.
For those of you not familiar with the taping of this show, here’s a bit of
The Today Show (30 Rockefeller Plaza, Fifth to Sixth Aves.) – The Today Show’s studio is on the ground floor at the corner of 49th St. and Rockefeller Center. Inside, Katie Couric and Matt Lauer tell the country what’s going on; outside a crowd of people waves signs and hopes to get on television. The show airs Monday–Friday 7am–9am. If you want a good spot, get there pre-dawn, try to stand toward the south-east corner (directly behind the anchor desk) and carry a sign that says something goofy enough to be noticed.
