Signed Reality Goodies Winners

You fall for reality…

I’ll make this one brief… lots to do before Tuesday’s first show in Copenhagen. We set this one last week, (09/26/03 NEWS: MORE REALITY CHART PLACES – PLUS NEW COMPETITION) and going by the amount of entrants, I don’t think many of you missed this one…exceptionally popular.

The three words you should have been left with were: Fall, For and Reality which all appear in the above lyric quote. And so, the answer to the problem is, (as the great majority of you correctly stated) That’s Motivation. If none of this is making any sense to you, (Hallo Wind) you should go back to the original competition.

Right, on to the winners (listed below…preceded by TRG number in each case) who should all e-mail me at TotalBlamBlam@davidbowie.com with their real name and address and a subject line of: Missing Words Winner.

All Is Hunky Dory For Rachel

I see your face in mine…

In a follow-up to our Rachel Stevens story we posted on Monday (09.29.03 NEWS: RACHEL STEVENS HAS A POP AT DAVID BOWIE) it seems that the lovely lass is taking the links to David Bowie’s classic Hunky Dory album a little further. In the week that her debut solo album, Funky Dory, looks set to enter the Top Ten of the official UK album chart Rachel has released a picture of herself in a familiar pose… keep watching the image above for a glimpse.

As reported in this morning’s Daily Mirror here in the UK, Rachel had this to say about her decision to mimic the Hunky Dory cover:

I absolutely love this shot – it’s really different. I’ve become a bit of a Bowie fan recently – really from the influence on the album title and on one of the tracks. I thought it would be fun to recreate the original album cover and to do something which was different to a normal shoot.

Apparently a spokesman for Bowie (And no, it wasn’t me before you all start!) said: “It’s an interesting way to get classics over to so-called pop kids. Just imagine an S Club fan hearing Rachel’s album and then going out and picking up Hunky Dory to hear the original Andy Warhol, it’s mind-boggling.”

Lol… Mind-boggling indeed. Anyway, good luck to you Rachel, and may we all commend you on your very good taste.

Db Hijacks Xfm – Plus Help Get Nks Played More

And me I’m on (yet another) radio show…

David Bowie takes over the airwaves at Xfm this evening here in the UK. He is the latest guest on the regular Hijack feature that starts at 10:00pm UK time, and with a taste as eclectic and good as his, you just know you’re in for a treat. Click on the image above to take you to the Xfm website where you can also listen live online.

While we’re on the subject of this evening’s radio here in the UK, BowieNetter alienluvver has informed me that New Killer Star is currently on the Virgin Radio playlist. But there’s more. Over to you alienluvver:

There’s also an opportunity to influence it’s number of plays, by voting for the song on the Most Wanted list. This is a daily set of 10 songs voted for on the web or by SMS, and the top ten most popular are played on the Most Wanted show on Virgin Radio from 7pm.

If you want to vote, and you really should, Click on the image above and follow the instructions. Thanx for that alienluvver.
