Final Uk Ticket Update From Bill Z

By the end of this week, those of you with ticket problems who notified Ticketzone will have received your additional tickets as promised. Some of you have gotten great seats, which means you had really bad ones to begin with. Others have gotten average seats which, as we?ve been saying, means your initial tickets were pretty good.We are out of tickets. So if you have not notified us of any problem before, we cannot help you. This has been a difficult process for everyone involved. So to all of you, I want to say thank you for your incredible patience. There?s a reason this fan club is the envy of the music industry. It?s the members. To Domingo, Rachel and Richard I want to say thanks for helping so much with a problem you had nothing to do with.To Blammo, Howard, Jeff and all at UltraStar, you never stopped caring about making it right. Even when the emails got nasty. For those of you in Block 35 at Wembley, think long and hard before you give those tickets away. This does not mean we are finished with all of the problems. There are still some VIP issues, missing tickets etc.. that are still being worked on. But, as for the selling of bad locations in the U.K., all I can say is thanks to you all and I hope you enjoy the shows!!!Best,Bill Z

Nice Set List Details

Not Nice…In fact, I’m afraid this is another Blammo shot from Paris.

Yes he was awful nice, Really quite out of sight…

Nice wasn’t particularly nice to David Bowie as his A Reality Tour rolled into town today. David apparently explained early on that tonight’s show was going to be a little different due to some kind of throat condition.

I’ve had no official word about the exact nature of this condition as of yet, but, whatever it is, by all accounts David battled on through a shorter than normal set, but still managed to put on a great show… “Heroes” being a particular highlight.

I know you’ll all want to join me in wishing David a speedy recovery, and rest assured, we’ll let you know with as much advance notice as possible in the unlikely event that any dates are affected. I’ll also let you know immediately I hear any news from David himself.

Here’s the twenty-song set list from tonight:

Nice November 10th 2003

01 Rebel Rebel
02 New Killer Star
03 Reality
04 Fame
05 Cactus
06 Afraid
07 China Girl
08 The Man Who Sold The World
09 Hallo Spaceboy
10 Sunday
11 Under Pressure
12 Ashes To Ashes
13 The Motel
14 Be My Wife
15 Sound And Vision
16 Breaking Glass
17 I’m Afraid Of Americans
18 “Heroes”
19 Suffragette City
20 Ziggy Stardust

Thankfully David has a day off tomorrow, before he continues this string of French dates with Wednesday’s show scheduled for Toulouse.

Amneville Set List Details

Db in Amneville tonight by BowieNetter Celine Caux.

Amneville fetish…

The Bowie show rolled into Amneville in France today for a show at Le Galaxie. Our on-the-road eye and ear witnesses report that tonight’s performance from David was another of those among the best of the tour so far.

The 25-song set kicked off a little differently, starting with The Loneliest Guy and Days, and continuing with the more recent show openers, Rebel Rebel and New Killer Star, transposed.

Tonight’s comedy highlight happened when David wiggled the limbs of a toy tiger, (thrown on stage by an audience member) as he sang: “Like tigers, like tigers can swim” during “Heroes”.

One of those sexy ones for Keiths by the lovely Ms Caux.

Thanx to BowieNetter Celine ‘Frenchie’ Caux for these wonderful shots from tonight’s show. Celine also gave me a little explanation about David’s French mumblings that I mentioned yesterday: “David talked about moules frites (mussels and chips) and said he was full. Great French accent. (Celine should know) Moules frites is very Belgium and northern French.” So now you know. Anyway, here’s the set list:

Amneville November 8th 2003

01 The Loneliest Guy
02 Days
03 New Killer Star

Db At The Bbc On Monday Next

“Hmmm… He’s going to use that pen, but I want him to use this one… What to do?”
Lard now has the pen situation worked out, after the terrible deliberation of last year.

My tour edition CD comes out next Monday, and me I’m on a radio show…

While he is in the city for his A Reality Tour date at Manchester’s M.E.N. Arena next Monday the 17th, David Bowie is scheduled to appear on BBC Radio 1’s Mark and Lard show too.

BowieNetters will know that this will be David’s gazillionth appearance on the show, and if any of those past broadcasts are anything to go by, it will be a jolly good larf all round.

Our man is expected in the second half of the show which airs between thirteen and fifteen hundred hours Manchester time. You can listen live online by clicking on the image above on the day.

Lille Set List Details

Three DBs in Lille tonight. Pictures by Philippe Auliac, montage by Blammo.

So you train by shadow boxing…

David Bowie kicked of a string of six French shows tonight with the latest A Reality Tour show at Le Zenith in Lille.

By all accounts he was in usual playful mood, enjoying a couple of boxing sparing sessions with Gail after Ashes To Ashes, including a display of his impressive ‘Popeye’ windmill punch that is enough to scare any potential attacker away.

As is his want, he also showed off his perfect command of French by talking about eating muscles in Brussels… or some weird Bowie type shit like that.

Anyway, here’s the twenty four-song set list:

Lille November 7th 2003

01 Rebel Rebel
02 New Killer Star
03 Fame
04 Cactus
05 Afraid
06 Reality
07 China Girl
08 The Man Who Sold The World
09 Hallo Spaceboy
10 Sunday
11 Under Pressure
12 Ashes To Ashes
13 The Motel
14 Loving The Alien
15 Changes
16 Fashion
17 Sister Midnight
18 I’m Afraid Of Americans
19 “Heroes”
20 Heathen (The Rays)

(Encore)
21 Five Years
22 Hang On To Yourself
23 Suffragette City
24 Ziggy Stardust

Thanx a million to Philippe Auliac for the great shots from tonight’s show. The tour continues in Amneville tomorrow.

Virtual Ticket Is Live

The Virtual Ticket’s in my hand…

The Virtual Ticket section on BowieNet that we told you about a little while back is now live. Eventually we intend to load the thing up with all things concerned with David Bowie’s A Reality Tour. It’s in an embryonic stage right now and I’ve just loaded the nineteen set lists of the shows so far performed, from Copenhagen to Lille.

We’ll gradually fill it with all the other associated stuff, such as reviews, photos and more of Ant and Jake’s exclusive footage… their first three contributions are also live on Virtual Ticket. Please bear with us as this thing grows into a permanent record of David Bowie’s A Reality Tour all under one umbrella.

I will announce any major updates in the news as we make them, but in the meantime, click on the image above to have a browse through what is there right now.

Belgium Set List Details

DB in Belgium…OK, so it wasn’t tonight, but I did shoot it in Belgium, honest!

Tonight my hero was singing for you…

The Sportpaleis Antwerpen in Antwerp, Belgium was the venue for the 18th show of David Bowie’s A Reality Tour. I have heard reports that David tried to inject a little more extra excitement into the notoriously wild Belgian audience, which he successfully did, eventually concluding “All’s well that ends well”, or something like that.

As with Berlin, Belgium was lucky enough to hear Five Years… again as part of an encore which climaxed with four songs from Ziggy Stardust… Let me know if you think David and the band should rehearse the remaining seven songs before the tour hits the UK! };-)

Here’s the twenty six-song set list:

Antwerp November 5th 2003

01 Rebel Rebel
02 New Killer Star
03 Fame
04 Cactus

(Encore)
20 Bring Me The Disco King
21 Sound And Vision

The tour continues in Lille on Friday with the first of six more French shows.

He looks me in the eye and he says he?s got his mind on a countdown 3-2-1…

Sorry for the delay in announcing the winners for this one. I’m going to cut to the chase and give you the answers and the names of the winners straight away. If you need to see the original questions, check out these three news items: 10/12/03 NEWS: WIN NEVER GET OLD 2-TRACK PROMO CD SINGLE, 10/19/03 NEWS: WIN NEVER GET OLD 2-TRACK PROMO – PART TWO, 10/26/03 NEWS: LAST CHANCE TO WIN NEVER GET OLD 2-TRACK PROMO

Here are the answers for each of the three parts of the contest:

————————————————————————————————————-

NGO Part 1:

GOLDEN VOTER is not an anagram of Never Get Old.

————————————————————————————————————-

NGO Part 2:

“By the dawn’s early light” – from Jacques Brel’s Amsterdam“By the dawn’s early light” – from She’ll Drive The Big Car“The dawn’s early light” – from Looking For Water

NGO Part 3:

————————————————————————————————————-

This was a very popular competition, even before the news that there wouldn’t now be a physical UK single. The good news is that I have now managed to get fifteen copies of this ultra-rare promo CD, as opposed to the original ten we first offered.
