Oz Pre-sale Update

You’d let me know (if the time changed at all)…

We have delayed the pre-sale by a couple of hours for the first lot of dates on the Australian leg of David Bowie’s 2003/2004 A Reality Tour that we told you about last week. The pre-sale will begin with four dates being made available to BowieNetters on Tuesday November 4th at 3:00pm EST New York time, as opposed to the previous time of 1:00pm.

I believe this now makes the time a little more reasonable for most of our Australian BowieNet friends. In case you missed the original story, this pre-sale is for the dates listed below which can also be found in the Reality Tour Calendar:

Brisbane – Tues 17 February – Brisbane Entertainment Centre (TICKETEK)
Sydney – Friday 20 February – Sydney Entertainment Centre (TICKETMASTER7)
Adelaide – Monday 23 February – Adelaide Entertainment Centre (BASS TICKETING)
Melbourne – Thursday 26 February – Rod Laver Arena (TICKETEK)

You can purchase your tickets by going here at the aforementioned time tomorrow.

Berlin Treated To 33-song Bowie Show Tonight

“Again there Bowie is!”…. according to Babel Fish at least.
DB meets his public in Berlin back in September.

Well, it’s been so long, so long, so long…

Well, I did say in yesterday’s news that Berlin is a city that always seems to draw a great performance out of David… and it seems that tonight’s show was no exception. Talk to any of the BowieNetters that attended David’s Heathen show in Berlin last year and I think you’ll find that the great majority of them agree that it was one of, if not the, best shows of the whole tour.

By all accounts David was ready for business the moment he stepped on to the stage of the Max-Schmeling-Halle in Berlin, complete with a pair of fingerless leather gloves.

There were two songs played for the first on the A Reality Tour tonight… Both A New Career In A New Town and Five Years were saved for the encore of what was the longest show of the tour so far. Here’s that very impressive 33-song set list:

Berlin November 3rd 2003

01 Rebel Rebel
02 New Killer Star
03 Reality
04 Fame
05 Cactus
06 Afraid
07 China Girl
08 The Man Who Sold The World
09 Fall Dog Bombs The Moon
10 Hallo Spaceboy
11 Sunday
12 Under Pressure
13 Ashes To Ashes
14 The Motel

16 She’ll Drive The Big Car
17 The Loneliest Guy
18 All The Young Dudes
19 Changes
20 Slip Away
21 Battle For Britain (The Letter)
22 I’m Afraid Of Americans
23 “Heroes”
24 Heathen (The Rays)

(Encore)
25 A New Career In A New Town
26 Bring Me The Disco King
27 Sound And Vision
28 Be My Wife
29 Fantastic Voyage

32 Suffragette City
33 Ziggy Stardust

The tour continues on Wednesday with a show at the Sportpaleis Antwerpen in Antwerp, Belgium.

Last Night's Set List From Hanover

Well it could be anywhere, but it certainly wasn’t last night.

I beg you over Hanover and over and over…

David Bowie reached the Preussag Arena in Hanover for the penultimate German show of the European leg of A Reality Tour last night. The one thing I keep hearing again and again about these performances is just how good David’s voice is right now.

If you’ve seen any of the shows yet, I know you’ll agree that his voice is magnificent right now. Though I do hesitate to use the word peak with David Bowie, as I thought we’d been there with his live vocal some time ago, but he manages to confound expectations again and again.

Anyway, I’m waffling now, here’s the set list that you’ve been waiting for:

Hanover November 1st 2003

01 Rebel Rebel
02 New Killer Star
03 Reality
04 Fame

06 Afraid

09 Hallo Spaceboy
10 Sunday
11 Under Pressure
12 Ashes To Ashes
13 The Motel
14 Loving The Alien
15 Battle For Britain (The Letter)
16 She’ll Drive The Big Car
