Man of many silly faces, Marc Riley, (08.05.06 NEWS: WIN TONS OF GREAT BOWIE STUFF ON 6 MUSIC TODAY) has yet another new look to go with his new radio show, Brain Surgery.

I’m happy to quell the rumour that the beret (see above) and the title of the new show are connected, and, despite appearances, he’s not even gone Bohemian.

In fact, he has never made secret of his love for popular singing combo, Gene, and apparently the new headgear is an affectation inspired by the band’s lead singer, Martin Rossiter.

Anyway, that’s enough of that. As you’ve no doubt already gleaned from the above headline, Tony V is featured in the regular PRODUCER SPOTLIGHT section of MINT this coming Sunday.

Tony is not actually guesting on the show, and he hasn’t contributed anything new to it, but listen out for talk of David Bowie and at least one Bowie song that Tony plays bass on.
