Did you ever have a dream or two…
While I’m perfectly aware of just how lovely a song David Bowie’s 2003 Reality track Days is, things always seem to sound even more impressive when they’re unexpected and out of context.
This happened last night while watching the final episode of Jamie Oliver‘s latest mission to save the nation’s youth from successive governments’ indifference in the UK,
Jamie is an easy target for the cynical, but I applaud his attempts to change things that he shouldn’t even be having to get involved with in the first place…don’t get me started.
As I was saying, about fifteen minutes in to this latest episode, that familiar intro played in the background on a loop until the vocal kicked in to jolly good effect.
I know this isn’t much of a news story, particularly as it seems Bowie’s 70s and early 80s hits frequently get used on TV here in the UK.
However, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s always cool to hear a bit of Bowie when you least expect it and particularly such a recent work. Cracking song too.
