Hey man, my Bridge School days insane… ***
I’m sure you’re all aware of the two very memorable acoustic shows David Bowie performed for Neil Young’s Bridge School on October 19th/20th 1996.
He played an early evening set on the 19th and an afternoon one on the 20th with Reeves Gabrels and Gail Ann Dorsey for musical company.
The only official release from the two sets was “Heroes” (from the 20th) which appeared on The Bridge School Concerts Vol. 1 CD released the following year.
Well now the same performance can be seen as well as heard as it appears on the upcoming The Bridge School Concerts 25th Anniversary Edition 3 disc DVD set.

*** If you’re familiar with these shows, you’ll know what I mean. David’s cover of The Coasters’ I’m A Hog For You Baby is jolly saucy and the version of Stan Kenton’s You and I and George is just as romantic.
