Saturday’s sale of 100 copies of the official 2005 David Bowie calendar looks to have been even more popular than we expected. The company dealing with the sale say that the demand was unprecedented and it was clear their servers weren’t up to the huge BowieNet bombardment.
But, even with the servers grinding to a halt, the 100 signed calendars still sold out within a few minutes.
However, it seems to have all turned out right in the end and I have been assured of the following for those that ordered a signed calendar:
If you received a receipt/order number you will get a calendar.
However many you think you may have ordered, you will only receive one signed calendar and you will only be charged for one signed calendar.
Money will not be taken from your account until your calendar has been despatched.
I will post a list of successful purchasers over the next couple of days, once we have checked the validity of the BowieNet usernames supplied.
