Bowie Back In Britain

“How the f**k did you guys recognise me with my shades on?”

The European cannon is here…again…

David Bowie arrived back in Britain yesterday to begin another round of promotional stuff for ‘Heathen’, and his next single ‘Everyone Says Hi’…and, of course, for the European shows already mentioned here on BowieNet.

Arriving back at Southampton yesterday morning, DB was again met by fans, one of whom, Alex Alexander, kindly supplied the above picture of himself with David. Thanx Alex…you’re a rock, whatever that means.

Rumours of more signing sessions and TV appearances have been bouncing around the MBs, and here follows a few of David’s confirmed engagements…this is by no means a complete list of everything David will be doing, and you should stay tuned for more TV and radio stuff in the UK.

David begins his schedule by celebrating my birthday tomorrow… well he won’t be celebrating it exactly, but he will be accepting a rather special award of which we’ll tell you more about later tomorrow. (I know it’s tacky to keep mentioning my birthday, but you know me, 100% nylon sheets)

The following week, David begins a few days of promotions, some of which I’ve outlined below:

Monday 9th London
Instore signing at HMV, as reported here last week.

Tuesday 10th Paris
Record piece for ?Vivement Dimanche? TV, to be broadcast at a later date. Instore signing at the Champs Elysées Virgin Megastore.

Wednesday 11th Paris
Record piece for ?Hypershow? TV, to be broadcast at a later date.

Friday 13th Gothenburg
Instore signing at Bengans record store.

Sat 14 Gothenburg
Live performance on ‘Grand Lottery Show’.

In October, David will be performing for the ?Wetten Das? TV show in Germany on the 5th, and for the ?Quelli Che il Calcio? TV show in Milan on the 6th. We’ll bring you the finer details nearer the time of each of the above appearances.
