You’ve really made the grade

The BowieNet members pages celebrating David’s appearance at the 2002 Tibet House Benefit are ready to view. Here are one or two extracts to whet your appetite.

“Bowie… offered a sensitive new ballad titled “I Would Be Your Slave” before–in the true vision, style, and audacity that only Bowie possesses–he delivered a stunning interpretation of ‘Space Oddity'”. ( Launch)

“In my mind a rush of thoughts twist and turn as I remember all the ways David’s music has touched my life.” (Chrissy)

…. followed by Space Oddity. I just kept thinking – “This is a GIFT!” A wonderful, unexpected gift from Bowie to his fans. A treasure that I didn’t think I’d hear performed again. (cavebat)

The rest of the night I was drifting amongst the clouds, it was the happiest I had ever been. Thank you, David, for making my sixteenth birthday the best! (Alyssa)
