LIVE AID’s 15th anniversary is being celebrated by an online auction of rock memorabilia this month. The auction is also being staged as part of the Wembley Stadium End of an Era programme by leading online auctioneer QXL.com.
Besides 1985’s star-studded concert in aid of the Ethiopian famine victims, over the course of Wembley’s 77-year history the stadium has staged some of the biggest and most celebrated concerts in the world. Some of the greatest names in the business have played there including Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Michael Jackson, David Bowie and the soon to retire Tina Turner.
