“I am the best jazz you’ve ever heard”
As we promised last month, this week’s NME (Issue dated October 11th, street date October 8th) has a three-page Bowie feature regarding the upcoming releases of the Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) single and the Nothing Has Changed best of compilation album.
They’ve already previewed a two-page spread online wherein Tony Visconti talks about recording this Summer in New York with the Maria Schneider Orchestra on the Bowie/Visconti produced forthcoming single.
Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) features Donny McCaslin as soloist on tenor saxophone and Ryan Keberle soloist on trombone, both of whom are pictured here with David in our exclusive Jimmy King photograph. That’s Donny in the middle and Ryan on the right and that’s Maria Schneider in the NME spread.
The item also reveals that Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime) will receive its world premiere on the BBC Radio 6 Music show ‘Guy Garvey’s Finest Hour’ hosted by Elbow front man Guy Garvey on Sunday October 12th from 2pm to 4pm.
Though NME mentions that Guy will be playing the radio edit, it now looks like he’ll be playing the full 7:24 minute version instead.
If you can’t quite make out the NME preview, the magazine is available from Wednesday and it includes another page regarding Nothing Has Changed too.
